Challenger
Spicy marmalade — versatile English dual-purpose.
Description
Released by Wye College in 1972. Challenger is the most versatile of the English dual-purpose hops — clean enough for bittering, characterful enough for late additions. Marmalade, cedar, and gentle spice. A natural fit for ESBs, milds, brown ales, and English-leaning IPAs.
